 My Whakapapa Journey

Talofa, My name is Laura and I am Samoan. I am going to introduce you to my family. The biggest Koru is my great grandfather with a halo because I never got to see him when I was little. I know he loves me when he is watching over me. The second biggest Koru was my great grandmother who died a long time ago, and something my family didn't know or tell me about. Next is my Grandma who is in Samoa. She wants me to be good in school and get better grades. My family is the best.

Why Is cutting Down Trees Bad?

Learning Intention: I am learning to write a persuasive text using information to persuade readers my point of view is right.

I believe that people should not chop down trees because we will have no shade and oxygen to breathe. When we cut down trees the birds will have no home.  The birds will migrate to another country. 

Please do not cut down trees.

Our Autumn Tree

The autumn leaves fall twisting and twirling softly to the ground. Orange and red, yellow and brown, the leaves make a beautiful , colourful carpet on the ground.

The Creation Story

On the first day God made the light. He made the sky on the second day. On the third day he made trees, flowers, mountains, rivers and beaches. On the fourth day God made the fiery sun, the sparkling moon and the dancing stars. On the fifth day God made fish and birds. On the sixth day God made man and animals. And on the seventh day God rested.

Trip To The Pool.

My family and I went to the swimming pool. I swam by myself. We had a barbecue. We ate sausages and patties. We had kalo (taro) and eggs.

Trip To Mac Donald

Mum and I went to Mac Donald. I drank blue frozen coke. It tasted melon. I ate a big hamburger. I didn't like the pickles but I liked the cheese and the patties. It was yummy.

Caring For Our Earth

Room 2 picked up the rubbish we found around our school. We put it in the bin so that it doesn't get into the drains. The rain will wash it out into the sea and rivers. Fish, eels and all the living things will die. This is very sad.
